Complement your skills learnt in the
obedience
classes by participating in Agility.
All handlers must be a financial member
of
DODC.
What is Agility:
Agility is a fast, fun sport for you
and
your dog and is an excellent way of
improving
the fitness of your dog, and yourself.
The aim is to complete a course composed
of a variety of obstacles within a
set time,
but without incurring any faults. Faults
include knocking a bar down on a jump,
missing
an obstacle, going over/through an
obstacle
the wrong way, or taking the obstacle
out
of sequence.
Don't worry if you have a 'little dog'
as
the dogs are separated into height
categories
so that a 'little dog' doesn't have
to jump
the same height as a 'big dog' - it
would
be a bit unfair to have a Yorkie try
to jump
the same jump height as a Great Dane!
Changes to Agility Training
DODC have added some new classes this year.
The new Class progression is
- Introduction,
- Beginners,

- Advanced
If you attended the Introduction class last
